States and metrics you follow are stored only in this browser. Nothing is sent to our servers. Save more from any state profile or metric page.
Every "Save to watchlist" click writes one entry (a state or a metric's slug, name, and a
short note, such as a state's overall grade) to your browser's localStorage
under the key plainfoster:saved - no account, no cookie, no server round-trip.
Because the list lives only in that browser, it will not follow you to a phone or a
different computer on its own. Use Copy shareable link to move it: the
button encodes your current watchlist as a compact payload appended to the URL after
#list=, and opening that link on any device (including this one, after
clearing your data) shows an "Add these to my watchlist" prompt that merges the shared
entries into whatever is already saved there, skipping duplicates by slug.
Tap Subscribe (RSS) for a personal feed URL of your saved states. Add it to any RSS reader to see each state's latest AFCARS annual snapshot without returning here. The URL encodes your list directly (no account); it only shows a fresh update when the underlying federal release refreshes.
